McNab Ranch, Mendocino County

We're shaping a sustainable and regenerative future that benefits generations to come.

As part of Viña Concha y Toro, one of the world’s largest and most recognized global wine companies, we’re advancing sustainability across continents through regenerative practices, innovation, and global collaboration that drive meaningful change for people, communities, and the planet.

We are committed to creating positive impact from the vineyard to the glass. Our approach focuses on regenerating the land through responsible farming, reducing emissions and waste across our operations, and partnering with suppliers who share our sustainability goals.

We also invest in our people and communities, building a values-driven workplace and a future where wine contributes to a thriving planet.

01 RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS

Viña Concha y Toro USA is proud to be part of the global B Corp movement, a community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good. Our California-based winery, Bonterra Organic Estates, was one of the first wineries in the world to become B Corp certified back in 2015. In 2021, our parent company Viña Concha y Toro became certified, making it the largest B Corp certified winery in the world.

With B Corp certification, we’re raising the bar for transparency, accountability, and environmental and social performance in the wine industry. B Corp is more than a certification: it’s a framework for continuous improvement and a signal of our commitment to people and the planet.

02 REGENERATIVE & ORGANIC FARMING

Across our vineyards worldwide, we are advancing regenerative farming practices that restore soil health, protect biodiversity, and reduce synthetic inputs. In California, our estate vineyards in Mendocino County have been farmed organically since the 1980s, reflecting a long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship.

We continuously refine our methods using data, on-the-ground insights, and the expertise of our teams, and we actively share these learnings as part of our commitment to industry progress. By combining tradition with innovation, we are building resilient vineyard ecosystems that produce exceptional wines and support long-term environmental health.

We are certified organic through CCOF, and are also part of the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation.

03 WATER STEWARDSHIP

Water scarcity is a growing challenge in many winegrowing regions, including Mendocino County, where our California winery is based. In response, we are investing in drought-resilient practices to protect our vineyards and surrounding ecosystems.

Through precision irrigation and soil health improvements, we are conserving water while maintaining quality and productivity. Our teams monitor water use closely and adapt strategies based on local conditions. These efforts help ensure long-term water security for our operations and the communities where we live and work.

04 CIRCULARITY & ZERO WASTE

We are working toward a circular system where resources are reused, recycled, or composted. Across our operations, we prioritize waste reduction, composting, and responsible material use. At Bonterra Organic Estates, we divert an average of 98.8 percent of waste away from landfill annually and are TRUE zero waste certified.

Sustainable packaging is a key part of this effort. We are adopting lightweight bottles, incorporating recycled content, and exploring alternative formats. We also collaborate with suppliers and partners to improve waste management and reduce landfill impact across the supply chain.

Our ultimate goal is to foster circular innovation that minimizes environmental harm and maximizes resource efficiency.

05 CLIMATE ACTION & ADVOCACY

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and advocating for climate-smart solutions across the wine industry. In the United States, we actively engage in policy and industry coalitions to advance climate resilience and promote climate-smart agriculture.

Since climate change has no geographic boundaries, we set our climate strategy and goals at the global level. Vina Concha y Toro is one of the few wineries in the world to have set Science Based Targets, the gold standard for climate action. We are committed to achieving our goal of Net Zero by 2040, and we have made signicant progress toward this goal by sourcing renewable electricity to power our winery operations around the world. VCT-USA powers its California campus with 100% renewable electricity from an on-site solar and battery system, supplemented by a direct access agreement with our utility. We transparently report our global carbon footprint in annual public disclosures, available from our global reporting hub.

06 COMMUNITY IMPACT

We are deeply committed to supporting the communities where we live and work. From Mendocino County, home to Bonterra Organic Estates, to winegrowing regions across Chile and the United States, we invest in local partnerships, education, and economic development. This includes advocating for farming communities and engaging directly with grower partners to advance regenerative agriculture and strengthen local resilience.

Additionally we collaborate with nonprofits, local governments, growers, and community leaders to build regenerative futures rooted in opportunity and a better quality of life. Our goal is to be active contributors and generate lasting positive impact in the places we call home.
